Every Saturday I’m in town in Chicago, I make it a point to support the Hyde Park Farmer’s Market. There are so many delicious, fresh and organic options. From the variety of mushrooms to the fresh fruit and veggies. My husband’s all time fav is getting fresh flowers to brighten up our home every week. Fresh flowers are such a simple treat and we indulge.

We’ve also become big fans of the mushroom and kale pie from one of the market vendors. Fall is upon us and in my opinion, it’s the best time to visit the markets because apples are back in season! It’s also a chance to support the actual farmers and entrepreneurs who grow our food and can tell you everything you need to know about its journey from the farm to your plate.

Below are some of the snaps from today’s expedition to the market.
