I’m very excited to share that I am one of the members included in the Ladies of Steel gun club documentary, which had its debut screening today on the campus of Governors State University.
This documentary has been entered into several film festivals, and it tells the story of this women’s gun club that started in Chicago under the leadership of Javondlynn M. Dunagan. Her passion to educate and empower women to embrace their 2A right has helped a whole community to become comfortable with how to navigate firearm ownership.
I participated in this project to help spread the word about responsible and informed gun ownership. There is so much misinformation out there, and frankly, the glamorization of guns. It can be intimidating, male-centric, and off-putting if you don’t know the ins and outs. She has helped lots of people to join this movement toward self-protection.
You never want to have to use a gun, but if you do, you want to be prepared. That’s what the Ladies of Steel is all about. Oh, and we are cute, and we can shoot.
Congrats, Ladies of Steel!
